What are the requirements for a Florida real estate salesperson's license?
Be at least 18 years of age Have high school diploma or GED Complete and pass the state approved 63 hour course Pass the state examination Need not be a Florida resident
I have an out-of-state real estate license. Must I take the course?
Not necessarily.
Florida has entered into mutual recognition agreements with Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee. Qualified residents from these states may get a Florida real estate license by passing a forty (40) question examination. The exam tests knowledge of Florida real estate license law, statues and administrative rules. The exam is the same for salespersons and brokers.
Although there is no requirement that an applicant must attend a course for this exam, we suggest one or more methods of preparation. Contact the school of your choice for further information.
Mutual Recognition rules apply only to individuals whom are NOT Florida residents as defined byFlorida Statute 475.
If you are a licensed real estate salesperson or broker who has real estate experience in another state, which is not mutually recognized, then you may apply the experience toward a Florida real estate broker license if you have held an active salesperson, or a current and valid broker license for at least twelve (12) months during the past five (5) years. Contact the school of your choice for a more details.
"90% of people in North America earn less than $40,000 a year, and today's two-income families are not living as well as their parents. A former senior editor for the US based 'Success Magazine,' describes in his recent book, that a shift in thinking has resulted in over 14 million people working from home full-time, and another 13 million part-time. This number is increasing by almost 600,000 per year. And the average work from home income is $50,250 per year. Soon, over 44% of us will be working from home, and that's in the states alone. By 2010 that number will be a staggering 69%!" As reported by workathome.com
